The Carmen Combs papers contains reports, conference proceedings, committee minutes, studies, seminar and institute materials, pamphlets, analyses of problems and topics, legislation, speech transcripts, and memoranda to Court Referees, and personal notes. The documents generally focus on the welfare of children. There is much attention given to the juvenile court system.
University of Southern California Youth Studies Center records
This small collection documents the activities of USC's Youth Studies Center. Included are Advisory Council meeting minutes, reports created and published by the Center, brochures and pamphlets documenting Center projects, correspondence, grant applications, and lists of projects and affiliated faculty.
Don Van Arsdol Map Collection
Collection consists of approximately 400 maps from USC's Population Research Laboratory, donated by Professor Maurice D. Van Arsdol in 1998. The maps include much of the work done by Emory Bogardus and his students, as well as that of Van Arsdol and his students, and range from 1935 to 1980.
